This recipe was my mother’s quick-fix meal when she was late with dinner and had a lot of hungry children waiting. Sauté ground meat, onion and garlic in a deep frying pan until browned. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, until thick. Meanwhile, prepare Syrian Rice  and a tossed salad with Syrian Salad Dressing Dinner will be on the table in 35 to 40 minutes.
