Ful Mudammas is part of the daily diet in Egypt. It is often served warm for breakfast with olive oil drizzled on top.
Drain fava beans into a strainer, reserving liquid. Rinse beans and place in a bowl. Mix in the remaining ingredients, adding enough of the reserved liquid to make a saucy bean salad.
Serve with pita bread for dipping in the flavorful salad juices.
- 15 oz Fava Beans* (or other beans of your choice)
- 1/3 c diced Onion
- 1/3 c diced Tomato
- 1/3 c chopped Parsley
- 1 tbsp Pomegranate syrup* (optional, but it really adds to the flavor)
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Sesame Tahini Sauce & Dip Spice
