Vasilopita is the same basic bread as Tsoureki. Instead of the Easter egg, it has a coin baked in the middle. Tradition says that the person who gets the coin when the bread is sliced gets special good luck for the New Year.   Follow instructions for preparing the dough and shaping bread in the Tsoureki. After the loaves have been shaped, cut a slit in the bottom of each loaf and insert a coin, which has been wrapped in foil. Continue with the rising and baking instructions in the Tsoureki recipe
