This recipe was my mother’s quick-fix meal when she was late with dinner and had a lot of hungry children waiting.
- 1 lb: Pound Lean Ground Beef or Lamb
- 1/2 c Diced Onion
- 1 Clove, Garlic, Minced
- 1/4 c Chopped Parsley
- 15 oz Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 lb: Pound Frozen Peas
- 2 tsp Damascus Kibbie Spice
- 2 c Water
- Sauté ground meat, onion and garlic in a deep frying pan until browned. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes, until thick.
- Meanwhile, prepare Syrian Rice and a tossed salad with Syrian Salad Dressing. Dinner will be on the table in 35 to 40 minutes.
